Review in Hard N´Heavy

Even if Sarah Jezebel Deva (who got famous through her work with Cradle Of Filth and Therion) never was to be counted among those unbearable lyrical Castafiore-like singers, every new female-fronted metal band is greeted with a bit of fear. Which fortunately quickly vanishes at first hearing of this successful debut album. With its epic and bombastic arrangements, God Has A Plan For Us All yet remains modern and straight-forward in its conception of a symphonic heavy metal that's much more easy to swallow than the one played by many other bands. The orchestral parts appeal more to Danny Elfman fans than to Wagner freaks. Regarding the perfectly mastered singing of the Lady, it carries more emotion than free lyricism, and helps the album being a good surprise in a genre that offers very few. Angtoria doesn't reinvent the rules, but the band can already teach a couple of things to much more famous acts.
